Nail Inspirations

Nail inspirations

Having beautifully painted nails can help you more than just by looking good. It can give you an edge in a new job interview and can be the point of conversation between friends. I have been painting nails for about 10 years now. I started at around 12, when I would look through teenage magazines and see the adverts for new nail varnish. At the time we couldn't wear nail varnish to school as it was against the uniform regulations and we would be made to remove it if caught. So nail varnish back then was a weekend affair or a rebellious act.

I started simple with designs like this one, where there was a base color and one nail with a design on. this one has blue nails and a white ring finger nail, with turquoise studs. This was fun and it was using basic nail varnishes, not gel or acrylic.

I don't tend to use gel or acrylic based nail products as they can damage your nails. I am sure plain nail varnish does some damage to nails as well. I have seen people who have got fungal nail infections and lost nails through gel and acrylic. It is also much easier to get hold of normal nail varnish from your local drug store and it comes off super easy too.

As time developed I began to experiment more with techniques, I got hold of thin brushes for designs, gem stones and dotting tools. This gave me a great creative space to create a whole host of fantastic designs.

I loved this nail design, it was so shiny and It was very easy to create with a kitchen sponge and a base color.

I hope you enjoyed reading this
